So first off an new character, I don't know how many of you have ever heard of them, but back when I was a little kid I had the most awesome toys, called Street Sharks. And Basically I just decided to pay a little tribute to them by making my own version of my favorite of them:
And here are some updates on the alien:
Awesome! Great topology on the shoulders!
SvarSletDID you start the Street Shark in Zbrush? zspheres or dynamesh?
SvarSletThanks guys!
SvarSletDarrin, I did start in zbrush, zspheres and then later dynamesh, so a combination ;)

SvarSletDude you Rock.. Could you just your zsphere setup? I'm really curious to how far you take the zspheres?
SvarSletI'm sorry I keep asking questions but did you retop in Maya? is there a retop tool for maya?
SvarSletHey Derrin, no I did the retopo in 3Dcoat. I mean you could do it in maya, there is nex for that for examble. But if you want a free way of doing it. Make 2 copies of your model, make one of them live and hide it, the points will stick to the surface and then just model away. Maybe combine it with a script like xyShrinkWrap, it is not as fast as a real retopo program but it works pretty well.
SvarSletI can see if I can find my zspheres mesh, but I don't think I have it any more.
I should mention that the alien is made mostly in maya! And maya was used for all the models to fix things up.
SvarSletThanks. I appreciate you getting back with me..
SvarSletdefinitely good insight.
Hey Frederik, did you ever find the zsphere layout to this shark?
SvarSletOh shit, sorry man I completely forgot, you got an email I could send it to?
SletYeah......that would be cool. how do you want me to give it to you..
